The South Ogden City Council on May 6 adopted Resolution 25-08, approving the city's FY2026 tentative budget. Finance Director Peter Anjewierden presented the budget overview and the council approved the resolution by unanimous roll-call vote.
The budget discussion earlier in the work session included the Truth-In-Taxation process; council members said they favored completing that process whether or not taxes were increased. The consent agenda also included a conditional public hearing date to consider the FY2026 budget: June 17 if no property tax increase is anticipated, or August 5 if the city pursues Truth-In-Taxation procedures. Assistant City Manager Summer Palmer also presented a handout comparing employee wages; the council favored using an all-cities comparator to set wage ranges.
