Maintenance staff told the board the county approved an extension for remaining grant funds for the 134th Street culvert replacement but an expected completion date is still unknown. The township also received $37,259.18 in county grant money for the Gowan Avenue project.
The board agreed that equipment sharing with other townships is allowed if covered by a mutual aid agreement. A new truck is expected in December or January; a motion by Supervisor Ryan Nelson to approve up to $500 for new tires on the current truck failed, and Supervisor Andy Christensen said he may be able to donate a set of wheels and tires to get the township through until the new vehicle arrives.
