The list included Item 11895 (amended from $218,871.85 to $149,005.48), Item 11896 (operating-to-salary transfers), Item 11897 (departmental salary realignments), Item 11898 (operating expense adjustments), and Item 11899 (which was amended from $87,356.55 to $163,178.34 before passage).
Finance committee members explained the changes in the meeting packet and made one short recess to distribute corrections. Several councilors emphasized the importance of transparency for transfers and suggested staggered orders through the year instead of large year‑end lists. “I would hope that rather than have a big list like this in June to wrap things up, that there would be orders along the way during the year,” Councilor Brooks said, urging more incremental reporting. The clerk recorded the roll calls for these items, with recorded tallies reported as 10 yays for the measures when roll calls were taken.
Councilors also noted a minor telephone line adjustment for the police section handled across the items and agreed the finance committee would continue to scrutinize transfers. Each motion was moved, seconded and carried by recorded vote where required; no measures failed.
