Applicant Jay Blumenfeld presented updated slides and three renderings requested by the planning board and described site features including a proposed dog park and a pollinator garden. “Of which 27 of those units would be below market rate units,” Blumenfeld said when describing the proposed unit mix. Residents offered mixed reactions: some who live nearby praised the landscaping and the inclusion of BMR units; others raised concerns about bulk, construction impacts, perceived developer responsiveness and environmental questions. Council members asked staff to await the planning board's SEQRA determination and directed legal/staff to prepare a draft resolution for the May 18 meeting.
