The Rolla City Council voted Jan. 21 to order filter media from Filtronics, Inc. at approximately $60,000 after Public Works recommended the purchase because the product has an eight-month lead time. The motion, made by Damond Schemmel and seconded by Alex Albert, passed with all members voting "Aye."
Public Works also reported a leak in the GSR tank on the west side of the water treatment plant and discussed updates to dump trucks. The committee recorded the operational needs and recommended the purchase to ensure continuity of water treatment operations while replacement or repair work is scheduled.
