The Board was briefed on capital-project developments and potential cost pressures. Dr. Pacatte reported a large change order tied to code issues in the art rooms, ongoing bids for stage rigging and lighting, and an expectation that costs could rise due to tariffs. NYSED approved the district’s request for an extension to complete logo work on the turf and gym floor.
During public comment, guest Kyle Montague asked whether building aid would apply to a $100,000 capital outlay project and a $170,000 capital project for required imagery change. Dr. Pacatte responded that the aidable portion of the $100,000 project will generate building aid in 2025–26 and the aidable portion of the $170,000 project will generate building aid spread over 15 years.
