Board approves end-of-year calendar: May 23 closed; UPK–8 half days June 23–24

The Avon board approved calendar adjustments for the end of the 2024–25 school year. As recorded in the minutes, "In accordance with the provisions specified in some unit agreements, there will be no school on Friday, May 23, and all staff members will be released from their duties. UPK-8 will attend for half days of instruction on 6/23 & 6/24. The last day of attendance for UPK-8 students will be 6/24. There will be no school for students on 6/25, 6/26, and 6/27." The motion carried 4–0 with one member absent.
