The council approved Resolution 2526-207 on the consent calendar to authorize a budget transfer to purchase a replacement zero-turn mower for the recreation department. The clerk read that United Ag and Turf will supply the mower under a New York State OGS contract at a gross price of $12,514.04; the vendor agreed to accept two unusable city-owned John Deere mowers as a combined trade-in worth $3,210, producing a net cost of $9,304.04 to be moved from recreation activities to recreation equipment.
Council members moved and seconded the consent item and then recorded affirmative roll-call votes; the budget transfer passed without additional debate. The resolution directs the controller to make the $9,304.04 transfer and authorizes the purchase under the state contract noted in the resolution.
"A replacement mower is available to purchase from United Ag and Turf through a New York State OGS contract at the cost of $12,514.04," the clerk read during the resolution presentation.
