Commission hearing preview: staff briefing closes; elections announced for August

The chair then checked timing to move toward the scheduled public hearings at about 6:30–6:35 p.m.
"This portion of the meeting is where the staff briefs the commission and previews the cases on tonight's agenda," Chair Cheryl Smith said at the start of the meeting.
No actions or votes were taken during the briefing segment.
