A resolution was read and adopted establishing a police budget line to cover Columbia County Sheriff's attendance for security at town and planning board meetings and transferring $2,000 from the fund balance to that line.
“This is a resolution establishing a police budget line...be it resolved that the town board of the town of Ancram hereby designates 3120.4 as the police line and further resolved the town board does hereby move $2,000 from the fund balance to 3120.4 to cover expenses,” the clerk read aloud as the resolution was moved and carried. The board also voted to enter executive session later in the meeting for personnel and litigation matters; after returning, the board approved warrants, made the budget adjustment to fund the police line and adjourned the meeting.
The transfer and line designation were recorded on the meeting warrant and will be reflected in the town’s budget accounts for the year.
