Supervisor Carol opened her report by noting a Columbia Forward micro-enterprise grant program in Hudson that awards up to $25,000 for small-business assistance and encouraged eligible local business owners to apply. She said county sales tax revenues are steady and that the county shares a portion of that revenue with the town.
On public safety and infrastructure, Carol reported the town welcomed new volunteers to the FAST and fire-investigation teams, renewed contracts with four county EMS agencies that serve the town, and announced the Mill Hill Bridge in Gallatin was finished and usable. She also outlined that the school building-utilization committee is preparing an educational impact statement as part of possible school reconfiguration.
