Estes said his gauge sits near the county hospital and represents a mid-county location rather than coastal Solomons or Dunkirk; he urged staff to use that local record when assessing watershed and stormwater resilience.
Estes said he believes county Public Works updated its rainfall tables and that the new tables show a roughly 30% increase; he said his work aims to align local measured data with county planning uses and promised a preface and digest that would accompany the dataset. "It's over 7,200 lines of data," he told commissioners, and said he can provide the information to anyone who wants it.
