Staff estimated +/- $122,000 for a generator and indicated additional trenching, meter work and trenching for the meter could bring the total package toward $150,000. Commissioners asked staff to obtain competitive prices and to return with a full package price and warranty details before approval.
Commissioners also discussed siting the generator relative to a fenced operations area and ensuring required meter placement and trenching avoid operational conflicts; staff will coordinate final siting, meter arrangements and any necessary coordination with the gas utility and railroad right‑of‑way.
