County engineer updates on Wolf Creek debris‑removal, bridge sizing and Kerr Road work

Clay Phillips, filling in as county engineer, briefed the commission on May 21 about active road and drainage projects across the county. "Paving crews been in the Kentland and Tusk area for a week or 2," he said, and crews were preparing an access pass for the Wolf Creek debris‑removal project; a contractor with bonds in hand began work there the day of the session.
Phillips also said he had asked the engineering firm that performed the original hydrology and hydraulic study (Long Engineering, now part of Atlas) to update a proposal to develop bridge plans for replacement of an aging structure. Commissioners were briefed on an expected invoice from Raglan Water Authority to relocate a waterline near the Macedonia Road bridge to allow replacement work next fiscal year. The Kerr Road / 411 contractor has returned to work and staff said that project will provide long‑term county benefit.
Commissioners asked staff to bring associated design proposals, related costs, and any right‑of‑way/access agreements back to the next regular meeting for formal action.
