Committee discusses outreach: DARE, media coverage and public Narcan safety presentation

The committee used the announcements portion of the meeting to review outreach efforts. Chair Todd Skarban said the DARE program remains a work in progress and that he has spoken with several school superintendents about it. Richard Heath reported the Peshtigo Times published an article highlighting the committee’s work and urged broadening outreach; he also said he informed attendees at a Library Services meeting of available grant opportunities.
Skarban said he will give a presentation on Narcan safety at the Suring Public Library. The committee set its next regular meeting for Thursday, June 25, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. in the LEC, and Chair Skarban declared the meeting adjourned at 11:53 a.m.
