Council on Aging compiles capital priorities: windows, stage floor and heating-zone split

The Council on Aging provided the Mayor’s Office with a short list of potential capital projects for the Fitchburg Senior Center, including window repairs or replacement, a buckled floor beneath the stage in O’Neill Hall, and separating heating zones so the second floor can have its own thermostat. Executive Director Amanda Koeck raised the three projects during her report and suggested part of the Deane A. Jakola bequest as a possible source for heating improvements.
Koeck said the kitchen did not require immediate work. The board did not take action on capital projects at this meeting; staff will include the items in the city's capital-planning list for further review.
