Commission approves $52,000 road-inspection contract and $14,984 county match for intersection study

"670 miles right away is inspected for that amount of money," the engineer said while introducing the contract, which the commission approved by voice vote. Commissioners discussed how outside grading and video records help the county secure grant funding and manage resurfacing schedules.
The commission also approved participating in a Regional Planning Commission Apple grant application to study relocating the intersection of Sandy Road and Argo Margaret Road. The total study cost was presented as $74,920.27 with the county’s portion $14,984.05; commissioners approved the county match by motion.
