Airport manager reports noise complaints, events and training milestones

Airport manager Rich reported operational activity from June 29 through July 31 and summarized noise-reporting, safety and community events.
"From June 29 through 07/31/2026, 6 individuals made 16 noise or overflight reports via phone, email..." Rich said, adding that most reports showed aircraft following voluntary noise-abatement procedures and that no FAA regulation violations or incidents were identified. He highlighted a successful EAA pancake breakfast that served over 1,700 breakfasts and noted school partnerships and safety seminars, including Willa Brown middle-school flight partnership flights and Sierra Space Aviation Day.
Rich also celebrated two former local students who now work for SkyWest Airlines as an example of the airport's role in workforce pathways. The manager said hangar inspections are nearly complete and staff are addressing stored trailers and other compliance issues. Commissioners had no further substantive questions on the report.
