The Plan Commission approved a requested one‑year extension for the final site and operational plans for a proposed Home2Suites hotel proposed in the Prairie Ridge development. Staff said the petitioner (Synergy Hotels LLC) previously received two years of extension due to market and contractor cost issues and that the petitioner has revised plans and intends to apply for permits and begin construction in the fall if financing and permit timing proceed.
Rob told the commission the extension would carry the conditional approval through April 11, 2026 and staff recommended that this be the final extension; staff said that if permits are not issued in compliance with the approval by that date, a new site and operational plan would be required. A motion to approve the extension was seconded and passed by voice vote.
