The Village Board approved the Clean Water (stormwater) utility budget for 2026 without increasing the per‑ERU charge.
Kathy, the utility presenter, told trustees that "Adoption of this budget does not require an increase in the monthly rate of the ERUs. It will stay at $6 per ERU." She said the fund’s revenue is projected to increase roughly $150,000 and identified recommended capital projects totaling a bit over $500,000, including a Jerome Creek watershed study estimated at $150,000 and a multi‑year stormwater management facility inventory to catalog roughly 50 ponds per year over five years (staff estimated about $1,500 per pond).
Kathy said the clean water fund’s ending balance was projected to increase from about $4.1 million at the end of 2025 to roughly $4.2 million under the proposed budget. Trustees pressed staff for more detailed pre‑meeting presentations and easier public notice of budget materials; staff said the budget book and presentations are posted online and offered to provide more detailed displays in future sessions.
Trustee James Kedrill moved approval of Resolution 25‑26; the motion was seconded and adopted by voice vote.
