The Village Board voted to conditionally accept public improvements for Phase 1 of the Highland Estates single‑family subdivision under Resolution 25‑24.
An engineering staff member reported that the roadway, utilities, landscaping and street‑tree work were constructed in accordance with approved plans and inspected by RA Smith consulting engineers. He said approval of the resolution "will formally transfer the ownership and long term maintenance responsibilities of the completed public improvements including the roadways, storm sewers, sanitary sewer, water main, and street trees to the village of Pleasant Prairie" and will begin warranty correction periods (one year for roadway and utility work; two years for street trees and landscaping).
Staff noted remaining minor restoration activities, street‑lighting and private utility work expected to finish later this year; sidewalks adjacent to outlots were near completion and sidewalks along individual lots will be installed as homes are built, within six months of each home receiving occupancy or by Oct. 31, 2027, whichever comes first.
Trustee James Kedrill moved approval of Resolution 25‑24; the motion was seconded and the board adopted the resolution by voice vote.
