Board approves personnel and spring athletics appointments, accepts several substitutes

At its Feb. 26 meeting the Avon Board of Education approved a consent agenda that included minutes and a package of personnel actions covering instructional and support appointments, substitutes, and spring athletic coaching assignments. The board accepted the appointment of Corine Feck as Elementary Coordinator of Off‑Hours Learning for 2024‑25 and approved substitute classroom staff and substitute cleaners. The consent agenda also acknowledged combined lacrosse coaches appointed by Livonia CSD and a slate of spring 2025 coaches for baseball, softball, tennis, track and flag football.
The consent agenda motion (moved by Steve Comeau; seconded by Jim Colt) carried with a recorded tally of 3 Ayes, 0 Nays, 1 Abstain, 1 Absent (K. Vanderbilt). The approved coach list includes names and positions submitted by athletic administration; administrators said these hires were appointments for the spring athletics season.
