Council authorizes transfers, E911 grant to support fire and dispatch staffing
Summary

Fitchburg City Council approved ORDER 211-25 to transfer $180,000 within Fire Personal Services — $100,000 to cover firefighter overtime and $80,000 for incentives. The order was adopted by unanimous consent.
Council also approved ORDER 212-25 to accept approximately $219,594 in E911 Support and Incentive Grant funds from the Massachusetts Executive Office of Public Safety and Security to support dispatch salaries and enhance the E911 service system. The Finance Committee reported both orders and the Council adopted them as recorded in the minutes.
A separate order (213-25) authorized approximately $24,000 from the MassDEP Recycling Dividends Fund for recycling programs; that order was adopted by unanimous consent as well.
