Resident questions splash pad water metering; board hears praise for snow cleanup

Jim Hurley told the Village Board during public participation that he is concerned about water use at the Village splash pad and the way that usage has been reported. “The Village meters are all read in cubic feet which when converted to gallons is much more than the quoted amount from a previous meeting,” Hurley said.
President Sheila Yepsen responded during the same public comment period, telling Hurley this was the second time he had raised the issue and that the Village meters are calculated in gallons. Tim Pratt also spoke during public participation and complimented the Village and Superintendent Lanxon for the snow removal and clearing of roads and alleys during a recent winter storm, thanking staff for their work.
