The Newbury Selectboard authorized the Chair to sign an Asset Transfer Agreement for Boltonville Cemetery after a motion by Selectboard member Shauna Prime, seconded by Andrew Lee. The Board also instructed that Chris Bruce’s mowing bill be forwarded to the Town for payment.
Cemetery Committee member Tammy Parker and resident Heather McClintock reported that the water supply from a spring to the Town House needs restoration to support gravesite maintenance and increase building usability. Tammy Parker said restoration is required for ongoing maintenance. The Board discussed whether a right-of-way permit is needed and whether water rights belong to the Town or the cemetery association; a site visit and consultation with Greg Allen were scheduled before a final decision.
