Board updates schedule for Jamboree Days, Parkview ribbon cutting and Riverfront Park progress

Manager Stewart and trustees used the meeting to update the board on community celebrations and construction milestones.
Stewart said Parkview Elementarys ribbon cutting time was moved up to 1:00 p.m. because of weather concerns and encouraged board attendance. He also previewed Jamboree Days events scheduled across Friday and Saturday including bands and a talent show and asked trustees to help promote the festival on social media.
On capital projects, Stewart reported that Riverfront Park is "progressing very nicely," with seeding and sod already in place, and that the parks inaugural remembrance event for Sept. 11 will be held in the evening. Stewart outlined the building relocation timeline: police will occupy a temporary space by Sept. 14; the remainder of Village Hall is planned to relocate to Public Works by the end of October; all board meetings will be held at Fire Station 93 during renovations; and the target return/move-in date for the renovated facility is Jan. 2, 2028, which staff noted is 516 days from the meeting date.
Trustees offered brief remarks and the board adjourned following routine closing business.
