Residents tell Snoqualmie council the levy proposal is rushed and lacks sufficient data

Georgia North said the proposed solution would not close long-term gaps and urged council to "vote not to move this ordinance forward at this time." Barbara Kofad, an 18-year Snoqualmie homeowner, asked for detailed breakdowns of emergency-call severity and utility costs and said "the proposed $1,900,000 addition to the city budget ... has not been adequately justified." Resident Brian Holloway said he was not opposed to a levy in principle but that the council lacked time to present a coherent, comprehensive case to voters.
Speakers emphasized high local utility rates and the need for clearer comparisons and funding breakdowns. Council members acknowledged those concerns during discussion and repeatedly asked the administration to increase transparency and hold additional engagement sessions.
