On April 22, 2025, the Avon Central School Board approved the creation of five part‑time clerk positions effective Nov. 1, 2024, and accepted several staff appointments as part of its consent agenda. The board approved appointment of Karyn Lipome (part‑time clerk, effective Nov. 6, 2024), Martha Mack (part‑time clerk, effective Mar. 28, 2025), Brittany Hillman (probationary teaching assistant, effective Apr. 21, 2025; probationary period ends Apr. 20, 2029) and Matthew McGowan (grade 7‑12 tutor and substitute teacher/TA/aide, effective Apr. 22, 2025). The motion to approve the consent agenda carried 5‑0.
The consent agenda also included acceptance of Committee on Special Education and Committee on Preschool Special Education minutes for multiple March and April dates and a finance warrant report for April. The personnel approvals were presented "upon the recommendation of the Superintendent," and no individual board member expressed opposition during the public meeting.
