Superintendent Ryan Pacatte told the board there has been a recent ruling on 'piggybacking' that affects how Avon may procure certain building contracts. As a result, the planned turf replacement should be able to be completed by the original vendor but the district will put the gym floor update out to bid rather than taking a vendor off a consortium procurement list.
Pacatte indicated projects impacted by the ruling will be reviewed to ensure procurement complies with the recent interpretation. No dollar figures or timelines beyond those already noted in the capital project discussion were provided in the minutes.
