She told members the change would streamline processing and that the village would continue to notify surrounding landowners when an application is filed.
Seth Daniels moved to recommend approval of ordinance 26‑014 to the village board for the Aug. 17 meeting; the motion was seconded and passed on a voice vote. Committee members discussed the narrow appeal options available outside circuit court and asked that the board consider any additional appeal mechanism if desired.
