The Plan Commission approved a site and operational plan allowing Savico to occupy 92,261 square feet of a 144,000-square-foot building at 7809 100th Street in Lakeview Corporate Park. Rob, village planning staff, described Savico as an equipment distributor that will primarily receive manufactured equipment, add components and racking, and dedicate space for sales, engineering, shipping and training.
Rob told the commission Savico is "looking to bring 44 full time employees and are looking to grow with a potential of 33 additional employees during the 1st shift hours," and that truck traffic was expected to be about a maximum of 10 truck trips per day. Applicant Steven Rio introduced himself: "Steven Rio with Savico... And now we're gonna have our office in Pleasant Prairie, I hope." The motion to approve the site and operational plans was made and seconded (moved by Terry, seconded by Michelle) and passed by voice vote.
