Forestry Director Nemec told the committee the department received the new dump truck ordered through the 2024 CIP and that an application was submitted to the Wisconsin DOT to include Kelly Fire Lane as a County Forest Road. Nemec also said the county's new online reservation and trail-pass system, Recreogo, "seems to be going pretty well."
Nemec reported the Girl Scout project at Townline Lake Park will no longer include a pollinator garden because the participating scouts will be moving away at the end of July; knapweed removal occurred and staff may prepare an invasive-species management plan. Nemec added that the Nose Lake trailhead toilet building and parking-lot expansion are moving forward and that a vault toilet has been ordered.
