The board approved an inter-municipal MOU with the Canaan, East Chatham and Red Rock fire companies to enable use of a separate generator for the traffic signal at SR 295 & SR 22. Supervisor Adams said the fire company and emergency management team "have been trained and certified to hook up the generator to the traffic light." She thanked Elijah Falkner for assistance in the process and said she would publish contact information on the town website for generator requests.
The MOU was presented as an operational readiness step to keep the traffic signal powered during emergencies; no costs or contract changes were reported at the meeting and the board voted to approve the MOU.
