Town reports 82% tax collection, assessor reports preliminary assessed value drop to 89%

On the assessor's work, Adams said the town has been at 100% of assessed value in past years but preliminary data for the current revaluation shows a drop to 89%. She recommended inviting the Assessor to a future meeting to explain the revaluation process and urged residents to complete data inventory cards to help ensure accurate valuations.
