The Oneida County Forestry, Land & Recreation Committee voted July 7 to approve a new access route for parcel EN-269 and to permit improvements to an existing woods road, the committee said. Committee member Sorgel moved to authorize the new access shown on the committee map; Schultz seconded and the motion carried unanimously.
Forestry Director Tanya Tischendorf’s staff member Nemec explained the parcel is completely surrounded by County Forest and that the landowner, Mr. Goretski, requested an access license to gravel the existing woods road and to develop a second road to reach the western eight acres divided by a creek. The committee discussed wetland impacts and culvert concerns; Nemec will prepare an access license agreement and a resolution for a future meeting.
