Byron-Bergen board praises students, recognizes departing member ahead of graduation

The Byron-Bergen Central School District Board of Education on June 12 highlighted end-of-year student work and recognized outgoing board member J. Cook at a public meeting in the district professional development room. President D. List said she was "so glad to be able to participate in the Sr. Exit Projects this year," and the board also recognized the district’s Top 10 students from the Class of 2025.
Principals reported a string of spring activities that staff and families attended, including a Science Fair with over 100 projects, a Math Carnival, STEAM Day that featured a Star Lab, and band and chorus concerts. Principal K. Kaercher said end-of-year benchmarks are finished and noted that more than 40 students participated in storytelling events. The board listed key upcoming events: a senior elementary walkthrough on June 16 at 9:30 a.m., Academic and Athletic Awards Night on June 18 at 7:00 p.m., and graduation on June 20 at 7:00 p.m. at the soccer stadium, which will be livestreamed.
