Byron-Bergen board thanks voters after budget passage; reorganization set for July

President D. List opened the May 22 meeting by thanking the community for supporting the district and voting for a budget that passed. She singled out recent school events — the Buzzin’ Bistro and the student art show — as highlights and recognized the FFA and FFA Alumni for their contributions.
Superintendent P. McGee reiterated the appreciation and said the board will add a student representative for the 2025–26 year. The board also approved scheduling the Re-Organizational meeting for July 9, 2025 at 6:00 p.m.; L. Smith noted she will not attend that meeting. The board approved the item by voice vote 7 Yes, 0 No.
