The Woodford County Fiscal Court convened a special committee-of-the-whole meeting at 11 a.m. and voted to enter a closed executive session to discuss pending civil litigation under KRS 61.810(1)(c). The court’s presiding officer moved for the closed session; Squire Brown made the motion and Squire Gentry seconded.
The court met in closed session with county counsel and outside counsel. When the court reconvened in open session, the presiding officer said, "There was no action taken in the closed executive session." The meeting record indicates the court used the statutory exemption for pending litigation to meet privately with counsel.
