The Skokie-Morton Grove School District 69 Board approved the 2024 tax levy certification and a resolution directing an interfund transfer of $3,500,000 from the Transportation Fund to the Operations & Maintenance Fund and then to the Capital Projects Fund.
The Board held a public hearing on the proposed levy and the interfund transfer earlier in the meeting. The minutes record the Board “Approved the amounts to be leveled for the year 2024” and authorized the President and Secretary to sign and file the Certification of Tax Levy with the Cook County Clerk. The Board also approved a resolution instructing the County Clerk how to apportion levy extension reductions.
Separately, the Board voted to approve the interfund transfer resolution directing $3,500,000 to move from Transportation to Operations & Maintenance and then to Capital Projects. The transfer was presented earlier as a formal item and was included in motions adopted on the consent agenda.
