The Shorewood Village Board voted to adopt a nonunion employee pay plan to guide salary ranges for the coming fiscal year.
Administrator Klima presented the plan, saying staff completed a comparable‑community analysis and recommended new salary ranges. Klima noted the village adjusted pay ranges this year with a 2% cost‑of‑living increase and described the evaluation process used to move employees within their ranges. On questions about employees who reach the top of a range, Klima said raises can be handled through the evaluation process and variable yearly adjustments.
A trustee moved and seconded adoption of the resolution; the roll call vote was unanimous. Staff said the pay plan will be included in the budget packet the board will consider at the next meeting.
