The board approved a facilities-use agreement with Shorewood Soccer covering use of fields at Four Seasons Park and a leased Hammelwoods parcel.
Katie Fitzpatrick explained the village sold 12 acres to the forest preserve in the 1990s and leased back 6.5 acres for soccer; the lease is a five-year rolling intergovernmental agreement (IGA) with no money exchanged. Fitzpatrick said Shorewood Soccer covers maintenance at those sites so public works does not handle routine upkeep there.
Trustee Selfridge moved approval; Trustee Chapman seconded and the board voted yes. The vote keeps the decades-long arrangement in place for practices and seasonal games.
