Loyalton council reaffirms water-distribution emergency and adopts Resolution 7-2025 under state code

The Loyalton City Council reaffirmed the State of Emergency for the city's water-distribution system on June 17, 2025. The motion to reaffirm the emergency status was moved by S. Mcllravy and seconded by J. Markum and carried unanimously; the council indicated the item will be added to the next agenda for continued attention.
The council also adopted Resolution 7-2025, titled "Confirmation Pursuant to Section 55501.1 of the California Water Code," by roll call vote. Council recorded ayes from J. Markum, J. Dines, J. Gerow, S. Mcllravy and B. Mertton. Separately, Councilmember Markum reported the EPA has approved the SHPPO and the city is awaiting NEPA approval; if NEPA is granted, the VanDaam/Belli project could proceed in July or August.
