The special Insurance Subcommittee meeting for School District 69 took place Jan. 9, 2025 at the Maier Administration Center Board Room and was called to order by Board Member Lindley Wisnewski at 4:09 p.m. Present for the roll call were district staff including Dr. Megan Aseltine and Superintendent Dr. Margaret Clauson, consultant representatives from Gallagher/EBC (Mariam Bates, Nancy Bellosa, Dania Aviles), and union and PSRP committee representatives (Kyli Burke, Lisa Helfand, Zijada Perocevic, Sonia Carreno, Hailey Kipp, Ursula VanMersbergen). One Board member, Joanne Marsden, was absent and one visitor, Nanette Clenord, attended.
The committee discussed HMO network options, dental utilization and vision plan options and identified concrete next steps: staff will present the HMO recommendation and disruption analysis to the full Board on Jan. 14, 2025; HR will develop outreach to affected employees if the Board approves changes; and staff will return with prescription-utilization counts by tier to inform any future copay discussion. The meeting adjourned at 5:19 p.m.
