At the Jan. 9 meeting, Nancy Bellosa described a VSP-Choice vision plan option that would be fully employee-paid and permit either new frames or contacts once every 12 months. She listed commonly included in-network providers, including Costco Optical, Pearle Vision, Sam's Club Optical, VisionWorks, Walmart and MyEyeDr.
The consultant estimated an approximate monthly cost of $12 for employee-only coverage and about $25 for family coverage. The subcommittee discussed the option as a voluntary, employee-funded benefit and did not adopt any changes to other benefits tied to the vision discussion at this meeting.
