At the July meeting the chair presented the village's financial update, comparing budget to actuals and reporting that recent sales-tax deposits had improved revenue for the period. The chair told the board that, despite some categories running slightly below budget, "our total income is above budget by $8,233" and noted lower expenditures in recent months contributed to an improved net position.
Trustees discussed prior-year anomalies, building-permit revenue declines, and the timing of deposits (the June monies were noted as being deposited in July in the meeting). The chair said the village remains in a stable position and proposed approving the audit-related resolution later on the agenda. No changes to adopted tax rates or budget appropriations were proposed at the meeting.
