O'Brien County Board names Nancy McDowell chair and reorganizes to start 2026

Dennis Vanden Hull was appointed Chairperson Pro-Tem for 2026 on a motion by Supervisor Friedrichsen and second by Supervisor Thomas; that motion also carried "by all ayes."
The Board approved the Jan. 2 agenda following a motion by Vanden Hull, seconded by Thomas, and approved the proceedings of Dec. 23, 2025 after a motion by Rohwer and second by Friedrichsen. The minutes record each action as "motion carried by all ayes." Rhea Schmalen attested the minutes in her capacity as County Auditor and Nancy McDowell is listed as Chair at the close of the proceedings.
