The Village Board approved purchase of reels and dispensers for the public works overhead fluids dispensing system for $13,698.36 from Feiss Oil on Jan. 13. Public works said the facility structure for an overhead dispensing system was included in the original construction but the equipment was cut for budget reasons; this purchase begins phase one of the installation.
Staff explained the purchase includes reels and dispensers to be hung above mechanic bays; full system tanks and piping will be budgeted in a later year. Trustees noted safety improvements from not carrying fluids by hand and the potential $300,000 cost historically estimated for a full install. The motion passed by roll call.
