The valve exercising program covers about 400 valves this year as part of a three‑year rotation (staff noted IEPA recommends exercising valves every two years but budget constraints have stretched the program). Trustees asked whether the programs were finding problems; staff confirmed the programs identify issues such as missing or locked valves that the village often repairs in house.
Both contracts were moved and approved by roll call.
