Commissioners approve consent agenda: interlocal pacts with Indiahoma, Faxon; prisoner work contract; multiple encumbrances

The Board of Comanche County Commissioners approved the consent agenda, which bundled several administrative and intergovernmental items.
Among the items the board approved were two interlocal cooperative agreements with the towns of Indiahoma and Faxon, effective July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2027; a Prisoners Public Works project contract by and between the Oklahoma Department of Corrections and Comanche County District #1 (term July 1, 2026–June 30, 2027) under the Prisoners Public Works Act (57 O.S. § 215 et seq.); and acknowledgements of multiple encumbrances. The minutes list Purchase Order #266508 from the County Use Tax Fund in the amount of $200,000 to the Comanche County Facilities Authority (for housing of inmates outside Comanche County) and several other $5,000 encumbrances to court-related services and professional services for June 2026.
The consent agenda also authorized County Commissioners’ signature stamps for Ashley Taylor and Corinne Owensby for consent-portion documents (excluding contracts and agreements). The board recorded unanimous approval of the consent agenda following a motion by Commissioner Josh Powers and a second by Commissioner Ryan John.
