The board approved $1,000 for the East Lyme Scholarship Association and $500 for the Shoreline Soup Kitchen and Pantry. "So then I took the remaining $8,290 ... and I divided it by 8 and I got $1,036.25 for the rest of the entities," said a member proposing the allocation plan. The eight groups (Brian Daigle Foundation, Karen Cherub/Eastline [record spelling in packet], East Lyme Police Cadets, Pollinator Pathway, Thames Valley Council for Community Action (TVCCA), UCFS, Warriors for Warriors, and Blue Door) were each assigned $1,036.25 in the board's motion, which passed by voice vote with one member absent.
A town staff member verified the spreadsheet math during the meeting and noted the allocations bring the services‑to‑community budget to zero. The board recorded the motion and the amounts in the meeting record and directed staff to prepare checks and documentation for the recipients.
